American Reformed theologian (1939–2017), founder of Ligonier Ministries and author of more than seventy books on the holiness of God and Reformed doctrine.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Robert Charles Sproul was an American Reformed theologian, pastor, and apologist who devoted his ministry to teaching the holiness and sovereignty of God to lay Christians. He founded Ligonier Ministries in 1971 to make serious theology accessible outside the academy, and later planted Saint Andrew's Chapel in Sanford, Florida, where he served as senior pastor.

Sproul held degrees from Westminster College, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and the Free University of Amsterdam, and taught at several seminaries before turning his primary energy toward Ligonier's teaching ministry, including the Renewing Your Mind radio program and the annual Ligonier National Conference.
